Our Goal

At Dearborn United Methodist Church, our goal is to help young people know they are loved by God and the people of the United Methodist Church. We inspire children and families to love Jesus, grow relationships, and positively influence our community. We do this through various activities that balance fun, fellowship, faith-building, and service to accomplish this goal. The Children’s Ministry at Dearborn United Methodist Church is all about helping kids grow as disciples of Jesus through programs such as Sunday School, Messy Church, and special events throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School, Halloween at the Church, and Cookies and Carols

Sunday School serves as an important foundation for many children’s understanding of faith and spirituality. It is a place where young minds can explore, question, and learn about God’s teachings in a supportive environment.

The Purpose of Sunday School

  • Introduce children to the teachings of the Bible.
  • Foster a sense of community and belonging within the church.
  • Encourage moral and ethical growth based on spiritual teachings.
  • Provide a safe space for children to ask questions and express their thoughts about God and faith.

Messy Church is an innovative and inclusive church experience that involves individuals of all ages in a creative and interactive exploration of faith.
